B. Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan (born 1 August 1966) is a prominent Indian politician from Karnataka and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress. He has been elected five times as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Chamrajpet constituency. Khan began his political career with the Janata Dal (Secular) and joined the Congress party in 2018.
Since 20 May 2023, he has been serving as a Cabinet Minister in the Government of Karnataka under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, handling important portfolios such as Housing, Waqf, and Minority Welfare. As Housing Minister, he has focused on expanding affordable housing through state and central schemes, aiming to support economically weaker sections and marginalized communities. In early 2025, he announced plans to complete 2.3 lakh houses within a year, underscoring the scale and challenges of such initiatives.
His tenure has also faced allegations of irregularities in housing allotments, which he has denied, calling for formal investigations and stating he would step down if proven guilty.
